Cardiff Met FC’s men’s and women’s teams can now begin preparations for the 2026/27 season after the Football Association of Wales confirmed the key dates for the new JD Cymru Leagues and Genero Adran Leagues campaigns.
The Cardiff Met men will once again compete in the JD Cymru Premier, with the new season set to begin over the weekend of 31 July to 2 August 2026. The campaign will include a winter break from 8 to 21 January 2027, before the final round of Phase One fixtures takes place on 26 March.

Phase Two will begin on 2 April, with the final round of league fixtures scheduled for 23 to 25 April. The European Play-Offs will then follow, with the quarter-final set for 27 April, the semi-final on 30 April and the final taking place across 7 and 8 May.
For Cardiff Met WFC, the Genero Adran Premier season will get under way on Sunday 6 September 2026. It marks the Archers’ return to the top flight following their promotion back to the Adran Premier at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Phase One in the Genero Adran Premier will conclude on Sunday 31 January 2027, before Phase Two begins on Sunday 14 February. The final round of Phase Two fixtures will take place on Sunday 4 April.
The Genero Adran Trophy will also begin on Sunday 6 September, with further group stage fixtures scheduled for 13 September and 4 October. The knockout stages will follow later in the season, with the final set for Sunday 7 March 2027.
Fixture release dates for both the JD Cymru Leagues and Genero Adran Leagues will be confirmed in due course. The JD Cymru Leagues transfer window will open on 15 June 2026 and close on 1 September 2026.
The confirmation of the new season dates gives both Cardiff Met sides a clear timeline as preparations continue for another important campaign. With the men competing in the JD Cymru Premier and the women back in the Genero Adran Premier, the 2026/27 season will once again place Cardiff Met FC at the heart of Welsh domestic football.
