Morgan Griffiths named Young Ambassador of the Month for April
We are delighted to announce Morgan Griffiths as our ALP (Archer Leadership Programme) Young Ambassador of the Month for April, recognising his outstanding contribution to the Archers Leadership Programme and his continued impact on young people through leadership, inspiration and delivery. Morgan is a student at Cardiff Metropolitan University and part of our Archers Leadership Programme. He was nominated following his exceptional contribution at our second Young Ambassador


School Sport Survey Update: Progress Towards a Cardiff Local Authority Report
The School Sport Survey continues to see positive engagement from schools across Cardiff, helping to build a strong and representative Local Authority picture of physical education, school sport and physical activity for children and young people. To date, 8 schools have fully completed the survey, with contributions from 29 teachers and responses representing 2,647 pupils. In addition, a further 21 schools are currently underway. This means Cardiff is currently 33% complete


Cardiff Met Sport marks Mental Health Awareness Week 2026
Cardiff Met Sport is joining the conversation around Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, which takes place from 11–17 May. Cardiff Met partnership helps 50 local children access football tournament
On April 23rd, Cardiff Met Football Academy and the Physical Activity & Inclusion team collaborated to deliver a primary school football tournament for 50 children in local schools. The event, held at Cardiff University’s Field Facility, was wonderfully coordinated by Lilia Blood (Physical Activity and Inclusion Coordinator for Llanrumney and surrounding areas) and two of Cardiff Met Football Academy’s coaches, Jack and Elliot. NFL Flag Welsh Championships bring schools from across Wales to Cyncoed Campus
Off the back of our Cardiff Qualifier held earlier this month, we were proud to host the NFL UK & Ireland team for the NFL Flag Welsh Championships. Teams from across Wales travelled to our iconic Cyncoed Campus to compete for a place in the NFL Flag British Championships, taking place in Manchester on 17 June. The Championships welcomed 11 schools and 11 young people, highlighting the continued growth of NFL Flag across Wales and the appetite for competitive, inclusive schoo

Archers set for 2026/27 return as Cymru Premier and Adran Premier dates are confirmed
Cardiff Met FC’s men’s and women’s teams can now begin preparations for the 2026/27 season after the Football Association of Wales confirmed the key dates for the new JD Cymru Leagues and Genero Adran Leagues campaigns. The Cardiff Met men will once again compete in the JD Cymru Premier, with the new season set to begin over the weekend of 31 July to 2 August 2026. The campaign will include a winter break from 8 to 21 January 2027, before the final round of Phase One fixtures

International coaches clinic to bring elite basketball insight to Cyncoed Campus
