New Week of Summer Sport Begins at Cardiff Met

The summer holidays continue at Cardiff Met from Monday 10 August, with another packed programme of junior sport camps offering young people the opportunity to stay active, develop their skills and enjoy sport. BOOK NOW



Football, swimming, tennis, basketball and hockey sessions are all taking place over the coming weeks, with options available for different ages, experience levels and interests.

Places remain available across a number of the camps, although families are encouraged to book as soon as possible.


Football

Cardiff Met Football Academy begins another busy week on Monday 10 August, with sessions for players aged 8 to 16 running from 9am until 4pm. Taster days take place on Monday 10 and Thursday 13 August at £25 per day, while the next Performance Day will be held on Tuesday 11 August at £40. A Girls Only Camp follows on Friday 14 August at £25. The programme continues later in the month, with further taster, performance and girls-only dates available until Friday 28 August. Book a Cardiff Met Football Academy camp.


Swimming

Cardiff Met’s Learn to Swim summer camp runs from Monday 10 to Friday 14 August at the Cyncoed Campus swimming pool. The programme is available for swimmers working towards Swim Wales Wave 3 and Wave 4 outcomes, with lessons taking place from either 9am to 9.30am or 9.30am to 10am. Each £35.50 booking includes five 30-minute lessons across the week, providing regular time in the water to develop confidence and technique. Book Wave 3 or book Wave 4.



Tennis

Cardiff Met Tennis will host a junior camp at Llandaff Fields from Monday 10 to Thursday 13 August. Running from 9am until 1pm each day, the camp is recommended for children aged 8 to 15 and welcomes beginner and intermediate players. Sessions cost £28 per day, or £105 for all four days, and combine coaching, drills, matches and multi-sport games. A second Llandaff Fields camp will run at the same times from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 August. Book the 10 to 13 August tennis camp or book the 17 to 20 August camp.


Basketball

The Archers Arena will welcome young basketball players from Tuesday 11 to Thursday 13 August. Morning sessions for children from Reception to Year 6, aged 4 to 11, run from 9.30am until 12.30pm and cost £15 per day or £45 for all three sessions. A full-day programme for players in Years 10 and 11, aged 14 to 16, runs from 9.30am until 3.30pm and costs £30 per day or £90 for all three days. Book the Cardiff Met Basketball Camp.


Hockey

Cardiff Met’s summer hockey programme is being delivered by trusted partner MAD Hockey. MAD Connect Camps will take place at Cyncoed Campus on Monday 10, Tuesday 11, Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August, followed by a second week on Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August. The welcoming, activity-focused camps are open to children of all abilities and can be booked for £25 per day or £80 for the full week.  View dates and book a MAD Hockey camp.
