Cardiff Met hosted its fourth METROX event earlier in March, welcoming more than 200 participants and over 100 spectators for a day of high-energy competition at Met Active.

METROX is a fitness race made up of seven 600m runs, with a functional fitness station between each run, testing endurance, strength and resilience throughout the course.
The event continues to grow in popularity, attracting students, staff and members of the wider community, with competitors travelling from across Wales and England to take part. This year’s field also reflected the inclusive nature of the event, with ages ranging from 18 to 77.
Organised by Met Active fitness instructor Connor Warman, the day delivered a strong mix of competition and community spirit, with participants pushing themselves through every stage of the race in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
The atmosphere throughout the event was electric, as competitors gave everything on the course and spectators created a lively backdrop from start to finish.
With another successful event completed, attention now turns to the future, with anticipation already building for METROX 5.
