Every Cardiff Met BUCS Super Rugby fixture to be broadcast this season
Every Cardiff Met BUCS Super Rugby fixture will be available to watch this season following the announcement of a new three-year broadcast partnership between British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and Clubber TV.
The agreement will see every fixture across both Men’s and Women’s BUCS Super Rugby broadcast throughout the season, giving supporters, families, alumni and rugby fans more opportunities to follow the Archers wherever they are.
It represents a significant step forward for the visibility of university rugby, putting student-athletes from across the competition in front of a wider audience and creating a more consistent broadcast platform for one of the leading levels of university sport in the UK.
For Cardiff Met, coverage begins almost immediately. The Men’s BUCS Super Rugby season gets underway at Cyncoed on Wednesday 23 September, when Cardiff Met welcome Brunel University for the opening round of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Women’s BUCS Super Rugby season begins in October, with the Archers travelling to Edinburgh for their opening fixture on Wednesday 14 October before hosting Brunel at Cyncoed a week later.
Under the new agreement, each of the 18 teams competing across the men’s and women’s competitions will also have one home fixture made available free-to-air during the season.
Discounted subscription passes will be available for students, families and friends, alongside arrangements designed to make the competition more accessible through university and Students’ Union environments.
The role of students within match production has been protected as part of the agreement, with plans for student involvement to grow during the three-year partnership. That creates further opportunities for students to gain practical experience around live sport, broadcasting and content production alongside the increased exposure for those competing on the pitch.
For Cardiff Met Sport, the partnership provides another platform to showcase the level of student sport taking place at the University and to connect the Archers with supporters well beyond Cyncoed.
And with both Cardiff Met teams competing in BUCS Super Rugby this season, there will now be more ways than ever to follow them.
