Cardiff Archers are celebrating a remarkable milestone as five of their talented members have earned selection to represent their country on the international stage, underlining the club’s continued strength as a breeding ground for elite talent.

Grace Morgan (100m Hurdles), Amy Hughes (Long Jump), Sophie Lisk and Osian Parry (both 400m Hurdles) have all been selected to represent Wales at the prestigious 2026 Loughborough International, a highly regarded international competition that brings together some of the best emerging and established athletes from across the home nations and beyond. Meanwhile, standout junior Nell Desir has achieved an equally impressive honour, gaining selection to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland Juniors, in the 4x100m relay, marking her as one of the top young sprint prospects in the country.
The achievements of all five club members represent a proud moment not only for the individuals but for the entire Cardiff Met community, with the addition of three current students already announced within the Welsh team as well.
For Cardiff Archers, these selections are not just a celebration of current success but a sign of a bright future. With such a strong group of athletes rising through the ranks, the club looks set to remain a key force in British athletics for years to come.
