Mia Davies Named First Young Ambassador of the Month

Updated: 2 days ago

We are delighted to announce Mia Davies as our first ever Young Ambassador of the Month, recognising her outstanding contribution to the Archers Leadership Programme and her inspiring impact on young people across our School Sport network.

Mia is a Year 3 student studying BSc Sport Management at Cardiff Met University and is part of our Archers Leadership Programme. Notably, Mia was the very first young person to join our leadership pathway, helping to set the standard for what the programme represents.

With a clear aspiration to build a career within the sport industry, Mia has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to developing her leadership skills and making a positive difference through sport and physical activity. Recommended by several members of staff, her knowledge, skills and dedication shone through during the interview process for the leadership programme, making her a standout candidate from the very beginning.

Following the success of her interview, Mia immediately showed exceptional initiative by approaching the team with an idea to set up a project supporting SEND settings across Cardiff. She is now working to help deliver an adapted leadership programme within a special school in the city, ensuring that leadership opportunities are inclusive and accessible for all young people. This proactive approach perfectly reflects the values of the Archers Leadership Programme.

Mia also played a key role in the success of our first Bronze Young Ambassador Conference, where she went above and beyond expectations by designing and delivering our “Mentor” workshop. The session was extremely well received, providing younger ambassadors with practical guidance, encouragement and inspiration around leadership and mentoring.

Her impact was evident throughout the day, with several Bronze Young Ambassadors choosing to draw Mia during the “Draw a Leader” activity. This highlighted the strong and immediate impression she made, with young people recognising her confidence, approachability and leadership qualities.

Mia’s ability to lead with authenticity, inspire others and proactively support inclusive opportunities in sport truly embodies everything the Archers Leadership Programme stands for. We are incredibly proud to recognise her as our first Young Ambassador of the Month and look forward to seeing the continued impact she will make as she progresses along the pathway.

Congratulations, Mia 👏
