Cardiff Met’s basketball coaching team came together this month for their regular coaches’ debrief, providing an important opportunity to reflect on the progress made across the programme and look ahead to the months ahead.

The session gave coaches the chance to connect as a group, review Block 3 scheduling and begin planning for next season, with preparations already under way as the programme continues to grow.
A key strength of the coaching set-up at Cardiff Met is its strong student presence, with the coaching community continuing to be shaped by the university’s student cohort. It has also been encouraging to see more junior players starting their own coaching journey, adding to the depth and future of the programme.
The debrief also offered a moment to recognise the commitment, energy and care shown by coaches throughout the season, with their work playing a central role in shaping the environment and experiences provided for junior players across the programme.
As one season draws to a close, attention is already turning to what comes next, underlining the continued momentum behind basketball at Cardiff Met.
