Cardiff Met Archers Crowned Womens BWNL Champions

Cardiff Met Archers enjoyed a strong showing on Basketball Wales National League Finals Day, with both the men’s and women’s teams reaching the finals at Bangor University.

There was title success for the women, who were crowned champions after a 70-65 victory over Ynys Môn in an impressive finals performance.

The win was driven by a standout display from international student Emme Eisenman, who was named MVP after producing an all-action performance with 24 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and nine steals.

Reaching Finals Day represented a major achievement for both Cardiff Met sides, with the men also securing their place in the showpiece occasion. Although they fell short in their final, their run to the last stage underlined another strong campaign for the programme.

Hosted at Bangor University on Saturday 11 April, Finals Day brought together the top teams in Welsh basketball for a showcase event, with Cardiff Met once again demonstrating its strength on the national stage.

For the women, however, the day ended in the best possible way, with silverware secured and a championship-winning performance to celebrate.
